Dr. Kara Collier

Dr. Kara Collier graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology. Her Doctor of Optometry degree was earned at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) where she graduated with highest honors. Dr. Collier remained at NSU to complete her Residency in Primary Care with Emphasis in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision. This residency trained her to perform in-depth comprehensive eye exams on infants, toddlers and school-aged children. Her areas of interest include Pediatric Eye Exams, Vision Therapy, Binocular Vision Disorders, and Visual Perceptual Disorders.

Dr. Collier has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). The Fellow distinction is earned and maintained through the demonstration of advanced knowledge in clinical care and expertise as well as a dedication to life-long education and professional development.

Although Dr. Collier moved extensively as a child she considers Bradenton/Sarasota, where she first moved to in 1998, as her home. While not at the office, Dr. Collier enjoys baking, our beautiful gulf beaches and spending time with her husband Cory, their son Milo, and their two greyhounds Allie and Louie.
