Dr. Cory Collier

Dr. Cory Collier completed his undergraduate education at the University of Central Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). While at NSU Dr. Collier received multiple distinctions including a commendation from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry as well as the honor of becoming the Valedictorian of his class. Dr. Collier continued his clinical training at NSU as a resident in Primary Care with Emphasis in Cornea and Contact Lenses.

Following the completion of his residency, Dr. Collier joined the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, a division of the University of Miami Miller College of Medicine. This diverse medical practice allowed Dr. Collier to obtain advanced experience in diagnosing and managing complex ocular disease with a particular focus on Corneal and Ocular Surface Disease as well as Glaucoma. Dr. Collier’s interests include specialty and therapeutic contact lenses (Particularly scleral lenses for the management of Corneal Irregularity and Ocular Surface Disease), Myopia Control, Dry Eye and Glaucoma.

Dr. Collier has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). The Fellow distinction is earned and maintained through the demonstration of advanced knowledge in clinical care and expertise as well as a dedication to life-long education and professional development.

He is a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Society where he currently serves on the Fellowship Review Committee and has previously served on the Continuing Education Development Committee.

Dr. Collier is a proud sixth generation Floridian and was born and raised in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. In his free time, he is an avid sports fan and can be seen cheering for the Lightning and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame with his wife Kara, son Milo, and their 2 greyhounds Allie and Louie.
